We accept applications year round, but we have a single annual grant cycle. Important dates are:
February 1: Letters of interest and informational interviews from first-time grant applicants are due
April 1: Invitations to submit the full proposal and LOI declined notices are sent
May 1: Full proposals due (for returning partners or by invitation only)
September 30: Grant decisions finalized by the Price Foundation. Notifications will be sent out to the contact person on the application
Grant disbursal: Shortly after all contract forms are signed by grantee. Usually begins in October.

The Price Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests for funding, but we welcome your organization to reach out and begin a relationship with us!
-
Yes! We have made grants with up to five-year terms in the past.
-
Yes! We understand that nonprofits rely on foundation funding for about 19% of their annual funding even when they’re not launching a major new program.
Overhead is mission critical. Your nonprofit cannot support programs unless the the rent is paid on time. Staff cannot do their best work unless they are sufficiently paid. Consultants can effectively increase capacity and expertise. In short, we are happy to make unrestricted grants to support general operating expenses!
-
Yes! We are happy to support matching grant programs. We will work with you in these cases to disburse funding on your timeline.
-
We do not fund solely brick-and-mortar projects. If you request a general operations grant, however, we will not deny use of these funds wherever they are needed within the organization.
-
No, we cannot support long-term debt financing. We’re sorry!
-
We do not fund brick and mortar building projects. Besides that, we are happy to contribute to capital campaigns.
-
Occasionally. We support organizations whose missions are integral to helping people and communities thrive. While we will not support organizations whose missions are contrary to biblical values, we do see value in supporting secular organizations when they are doing work that closely aligns with the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 22: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.
-
We are very flexible in the types of projects we fund, as long as they align with our mission, vision, and core values.
We regularly fund unrestricted general operating grants, program or project grants, and matching grants.
-
Absolutely. We maintain a partnership community whom we support regularly and/or intermittently, but not necessarily every year.
Communicate with us about organization goals and upcoming projects.
Maybe there was a misalignment that we can help you diagnose so we can better align funding next year. Maybe we did not believe that your organization was ready to undertake the project you proposed, but we could put you in touch with some of our partners (consultants or other organizations) who could help develop your plan to greater maturity, at which point we may choose to fund the project.
So, yes, please, talk with us and do apply again!

Great question. Proposal writing shouldn’t be complicated if you have a current case statement and if you know the details of the project you want funding for. If you do not, we recommend that you create a solid, well researched case statement ASAP: it will help in your application to the Price Foundation and to other funders as well.
Also, reach out to us! We’d be glad to help you develop your project or refer you to partners with expertise in this area.
